On safari you should get to see at least four of the Big 5 as well as many other fascinating animals, birds and insects. Your safari experience is heightened by the personal attention and extensive information that your guide will provide. Sleeping in a screened tent in a well-organized camp keeps you close to nature, yet safe inside.
The areas used for mobile safaris may vary according to local conditions (late rains, flooding, game concentrations, etc.). We like to reserve the flexibility of each destination so as to offer you the optimum conditions for the duration of your stay. Traveling is in an open game-viewing vehicle (with a canopy) and with wide seats and camera trays. Accommodation is comfortable, in bug-proof, stand tall bow tents, folding beds with decent mattresses, duvets, pillows, sheets, towels, etc. We erect an outside double compartment (for dressing) shower and a toilet at every camp. There is a chemical toilet in each tent for evening use. Our dining gazebo is set up with an eloquently laid out dining table of china plates and crystal. A charging system (inverter) is available on the game drive vehicle – thereby allowing you to charge all cameras and digital/electrical devices on the vehicle whilst traveling.
Each safari is tailor-made to suit the time of the year, current weather patterns, water levels in the delta and each particular party’s interests and preferences. A typical safari can take anything from 5 to 10 days.
We take our safaris into National Parks and Game Reserves as well as community owned wildlife concession areas. Park fees are payable in each of these and are charged on per day (not per night) basis. These fees are included in the daily tariff.
Sample itineraries can be shortened/extended or varied according to clients’ wishes. Ideally, we would like a party of 6 persons but need a minimum of 4 pax. Conditions vary and the length of stay in the parks or reserves, often depend on availability of sites.
